Here Today Gone Tomorrow... And for a while..

Currently being at the blissful age of 19 it is quite an adventure. Many things are changing almost instantly before my eyes. One thing I have a hard time grasping is the fact of losing friends. Losing them although for great wonderful reasons, but all else, losing someone close to me is hard. Not being able to pick up the phone, talk, and then be with them in a matter of minutes took some getting used to. Recently this year and more so this summer about 15 of my guys friends have all left on missions for the LDS Church. There are still even about 3 more still waiting to go. Now I am not one to object to missions in the least, I think they create amazing opportunites, they help and invite others to know the Gospel of Jesus Christ. And they help them grow in great strides as a person in general. But for the girls that get left behind, it makes them have to change as well. I think it gives girls like me an chance to really come into my own and find out who I am. To work on what I need to do to be a better person. Having my friends gone has been sad at times, I have shed many tears as each one of my fella's have flown the coop...(It is kind of my fault that I put myself in this situation because most of my close friends were guys). But nonetheless to know the work that they are doing for others is far more important to me than anything else.

One thing I like about having them gone is the chance for me to make new friends. This summer I have made a bunch of new friends that have helped ease this pain I was going through. Suprisingly some are about 3-4 years older than I, it is definitely a good change. They are still SUPER silly but more marture at times as well. This has also given me a chance to focus more on myself. One of my main focuses is now geared towards college and getting done as quickly as possible. Also to gain a greater testimony of my church and to grow spiritually. My friends will be spiritual giants once they return, I can't help but want to grow in the same way with them. They all have been such wonderful inspirations to me to become a better person, and to serve others more. Its so nice to have the opportunity to write each one of my buddies and see how they are doing often, and get pictures and updates. I Love my fellas.


All in all I wanted to make this tribute to my fella's out in the mission field. Continue to serve faithfully and be all you can be. I am so happy you are where the Lord needs you most and I can't to see you all again soon! Some of you in a year and a half some of you in two. Have fun and I love you all. Remember: Be Faithful and True and The Lord Will Follow Through.

FRIENDS YOUNG TO OLD

So at work is where I spend most of my blogging time. I work in an office as a Secretary and I enjoy it very much. I think one the best things I love about it is all of the amazing people I get to meet. Its not everyday that one gets to meet an 102 year old woman, or one with Alzheimer's who asks the same repeated question about oh... 20 times and it never gets old. I love meeting these people and learning about what kind of lives they have.

Today in particular I got to meet two older women. They came in for the first time as new patients together. While they were filling out paper work I couldn't help but eavesdrop on their conversation, and asking them questions as well. One of them was 92 and the other 83. They were both widowed and were Best Friends! They live in the same area and have know each other for 40 years. Amazing! To think of having their own families and lives, having gone through deaths of husbands and still staying close as ever through every trial. These women were such an inspiration to me to keep the good friends that I have. I am so grateful to have my best friend Emily, and just looking at these women I couldn't help but picture the two of us in the same situation 70 years from now. It made me think about what I will look like when I get older, and will we stay as good of friends like these two woman?

Have you ever thought about what it will be like to be elderly? Working at my office I am faced with this question to myself almost everyday. Its kind of a cool thing though, I am scared out of my mind yes, I don't want to ever become decrypted or self reliant on someone else to take care of my needs.,. But to be at an older age and have accomplished many amazing things, that is what I am looking forward to. To have a productive life and to look back and be happy with what I have done, and to see what changes I had made in myself and helped others make in their life.

YAY FOR MEXICO!

This wonderful line came from one of the funnest places outside the U.S., Mexico! It was basically the theme song for the entire trip! Last weekend me and a bunch of my friend traveled down to another world, called Rocky Point. This was my first time going to Rocky Point and I must say I was thrilled! I had already been to Enscenata with some other friends, and that was culture shock to me! But I heard RP was a little more Americanized so I was way excited! Not to mention I was going to be partying with some of the tightest people from the AZ, So who wouldn't be thrilled! This was our amazing group! Except Chase! Who knows where he went, he is definitely a wanderer!

For the First day we just went around town and had lunch, and played on the beach! I love the beach! It has to be on the most amazing places this world can have, but this beach by our condo had killer rocks! But never fear we still had fun in the crashing waves, soft sand and ever so SALTY water! I don't think I have ever tasted that much such salt in my whole 19 years of existence. We went with fellas as well, but these were all my amazing gal pals that attended!


After the beach fun we ate some more and just played around in town. We also found this resort we snuck into and played in the pool and laid out! It was so fantastic to be in normal Non salt coated H2O!

Playing Spoons! (I won!)

Riding a Banana Boat! ( Which definitely went ultra slow and When people fell off I tried to help Danie back on while like 2 other people out of 12 were on still and we made it tip! Bad move on me! Whoops!)

Watching Step up 2! (I fell asleep, so it must not have been that thrilling!)

And of course the Fabulous Car Rides! Heather and I rode with Brock and Chase, and It was so fun getting to know them! We had the Cool Car! On the way home we played the voice game and we played two truths and a lie. We also told funny stories and got to know one another with some confessions attached! Heather likes to cross her eyes and cant bend her back, and Brock is an amazing liar! And I told Brock the first time I met him I thought he was Really super mean.. Sorry Brock! That has all changed now! :)

It was so fun being in Mexico, I love get aways and I love getting to know people better! I could not have asked for a better time! I want to go back! Thanks to everyone that who was in attendance, you made this trip what it was!

Starting New!

I am so very excited to be back in the blogging world. I used to have a blog.. Once a blue moon ago. But I was not faithful in keeping it updated. I would see such beautiful blogs with devout blog owners and I simply did not feel worthy. This a second attempt to be better than I was before. I thought what a more perfect time to begin blogging again then in the summer. So many fun adventures and new things beginning, why not share what I am doing. Lets see if I can stay up on my own challenge to myself.

This is a very weird time of life for me right now. With my second year of college begging in less than a month so many things are going to be coming at me in the near future. I am looking forward to change and welcoming it with open arms. If you read my blog I hope you enjoy it, and if you don't that is OK too! Enjoy :0)
